Phantom Mirror employs artificial intelligence technology to simulate mirror box therapy for managing phantom limb pain in amputees and stroke patients. The application begins by utilizing the device's camera to identify and segment the user’s existing limb. Subsequently, Phantom Mirror generates a realistic mirror image of the missing limb, creating a visual illusion aimed at alleviating phantom limb discomfort. This technology can be adapted for use with any type of limb.

The application is compatible with both iPhone and iPad devices. For optimal performance, users should operate the app in landscape orientation, ensuring adequate lighting conditions and a minimally distracting background to enhance limb segmentation accuracy.

This application is intended as a supplementary visual aid and does not replace professional medical diagnosis or treatment. In case of a medical emergency, individuals should contact their healthcare provider promptly, visit an emergency facility, or call emergency services immediately.
